Winter Services is seeking an experienced National Business Development Manager to oversee the national sales and account management team. This includes but is not limited to the targeting and management of all national customer relationships, sales/business development activities and accountability for all sales managers to meet profitability goals while closely adhering to the company’s mission and stated values.  This individual will facilitate all sales efforts in the snow and landscape divisions and participate in strategic and finance planning for the National Sales GroundMasters Division. Individual needs to be located in WI, IL, MI or IN.

Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Develops and continually evolves a fully-integrated, professional sales and account management organization.
  • Maintains/develops measures to track renewals, new sales conversion and close rates for national markets.
  • Defines clear and obtainable sales objectives and helps the sales/account management team succeed in meeting their goals through advice, support, motivation and/or education.
  • Provides weekly sales updates to senior management which include forward looking statements to project weekly, monthly, seasonal sales totals as well as comparisons to prior year(s) results.
  • Assists the leadership and Clearing House in calculating bid rates for each account for individual and group job costing for national sales.
  • Prepares presentation materials for more involved bids as needed.
  • Identifies new tools to further streamline the lead/sales generation process.
  • Works with the National Director to develop and implement a strategic sales plan to stay ahead of competitors and fill the pipeline with present and long-term sales and marketing opportunities.
  • Responds on a timely basis to customer inquiries, requests for information and/or quotations, problem resolution, etc.
  • Provides frequent and regular follow-up contact with customer regarding services and satisfaction.
  • Creates an action plan for corrective action on sub-standard customer service experiences.
  • Provides feedback to senior management on customer satisfaction.
  • Designs, maintains and distributes all customer correspondence (snow scoops).
  • Assists accounting in resolving any late receivables or customer credit issues.
  • Trains, oversees, delegates, and develops Account Mangers.
  • Understands all customer portals and is able to assist when necessary.
  • Works hand in hand with landscape and snow operations managers to ensure quality service throughout each of the specified seasons.
  • Acts as a liaison between the Sales/Account Management team to other leadership in the division and throughout Winter Services.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Proven track record in commercial sales with a minimum of five years of sales management experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce CRM, and Google Maps and measuring tools.
  • Excellent business acumen to understand and analyze financial statements
  • Proven ability to prepare a budget, and sales financial projections.
  • Ability to perform take-offs and prepare detailed bid documents based on specifications for snow and ice control services.
  • Knowledge and understanding of snow plowing and landscaping is a plus.
